Pridefest Highlights: A Weekend of Celebration

Although Pridefest weekend is officially September 22-24, Pride events are already happening throughout the Richmond area. From drag shows to local vendor markets, there are a number of ways to show your pride well before Pridefest weekend.

Pridefest weekend officially kicks off with a Pre-Pridefest Party at Ember Music Hall on September 22nd followed by the main event on Brown’s Island on the 23rd. From 12-8pm, all ages are invited to enjoy a free event with local and national entertainment on two stages, more than 120 vendors, food, drinks, and much more. The Youth Pride Pavilion will host entertainment, activities, and experiences for all ages. And for those who need a sober space, you will find an area with mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Headliner Tinashe will close out the music of the day, bringing us to day three of the festivities. The party concludes on September 24th with what is sure to be an unforgettable performance by Tegan and Sara to close out this year’s Endless Summer of Pride.
