“That [modern design] makes it visually calming, which, in our busy lives, is very appealing,” Paxton said in an email. “Also less carving, less frou-frou, and fewer tchotchkes make your space easier to keep clean and organized. We also love the innovation that exists in contemporary design: working with new materials, new shapes, new ideas.”

There are several things that Paxton and her co-workers consider before bringing a new piece to LaDiff such as quality, design, and value. Paxton added that they often listen to the sales and design team for input on what to bring next to the showroom. 

Paxton’s current favorites in the showroom include New York Suite seating collection from Saba Italia, Olis media cabinet from BDI, and Solis drum pendant from Pablo Designs.
