When some people hear "Richmond," they may think about the great shopping, local restaurants and a city with fantastic night life.
But Richmond is much more than that.
Join SAGE for an LGBT history bus tour throughout Richmond on Oct. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. Learn about people and events such as Lewis Ginter, literary and cafe society and the rise of the LGBT movement that helped shaped Richmond into the city that it is today.
The tour includes stops to Church Hill, Shockoe Bottom, downtown, Oregon Hill, Jackson Ward, the Fan, Carytown and Ginter Park.
Beth Marschak, longtime civil rights activist and co-author of "Images of America: Lesbian and Gay Richmond," will be the tour guide.
