The Proper Pie in the City and Kona Grill in Short Pump ..if you want upscale Bistro Bobbette is awesome.

What would you tell somebody who has never been to Richmond?

There is always something new to try. From food and wine bars, shows, breweries, art and history. If you're more outdoorsy, its one of the few cities with access to hiking, bike trails, rock climbing, and even whitewater for rafting and kayaking. It's awesome, and I've never felt uncomfortable here.

I like Diversity Thrift, and of course REI in Short Pump. But just strolling along Carytown can offer some interesting finds.
