Why do you love Richmond?

Other than having one of the best up and coming food/cocktail scenes in the country, I love the culture and history thats here as well as being centrally located making it possible for some amazing overnight trips.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Richmond?

Dinner and cocktails with my boyfriend, Drew. I own a restaurant and he is head baker for Alchemy, so we don't get to spend a lot of time together.

What do you do here?

Owner and barman of The Rogue Gentlemen in Jackson Ward.

What’s your favorite restaurant?

Mine, of course. But other than The Rogue Gentlemen, I love the food at Stella's, The Roosevelt, Comfort, Inner City Blues. My favorite place for cocktails is definitely our JWard neighbor, Saison.

What would you tell somebody who has never been to Richmond before?

Don't let the fact that we're in the south and used to be the Capital of the Confederacy scare you. We are leaps and bounds more progressive than we used to be. There's literally something here for everyone.

What's your favorite store?

Does the ABC store count? If not, Mongrel is pretty amazing.

How do you spend your free time?

Eating and drinking at our favorite places around RVA. Spending the day at Colonial Shooting Academy or Cavalier Pistol & Rifle Club.

What's your favorite neighborhood?

Jackson Ward.

How do you describe your community?

Gracious. Jackson Ward has been an amazing place to live, work, and own a business. So much history is here and the people and other small business owners are amazing.

Anything else you would like to add?

You should totally come to The Rogue Gentlemen for dinner and drinks. We're the best at both I think, although I might be a little biased.
